On Wednesday Wā attended the site blessing and sod turning for Hayman Park in Manukau. The first stage of works will include a new playground that will form a significant new drawcard for the park, a unique Manukau-specific destination for locals and visitors to the area. Its siting and design should enhance its visibility and will contribute to an improved connection between Hayman Park and the city centre.

The site blessing was attended by members of the Otara-Papatoetoe Local Board, Local Council.

Construction is set to begin soon. We are all looking forward to seeing the design really come to life.
