Long time no post! Oh well, no time like the present…

NZILA Awards! These happened and Wraight + Associates were very excited to receive 5 honours:

W+A received two Excellence Awards in the Urban Design category. The first, with design partners Taylor Cullity Lethlean, for Auckland’s North Wharf, Jellicoe St and Silo Park. The second, with design partners Athfield Architects, for Wellington’s Taranaki Wharf West.

Cobblestone Park and the Taranaki Jump Platform, both in Wellington, picked up Distinctions in the Rural/Park/Recreational Landscape Design category and Waiwhero Farm received a Distinction in the Residential Landscape Design category.

W+A director Martin Bryant – in his other capacity as lecturer and researcher at Victoria University – also received the Charlie Challenger Supreme Award in the Landscape Planning category. He and co-author Penny Allan’s series of related essays, ‘Earthquake Cities on the Pacific Rim’, is a significant body of research exploring spatial structure and resilience in different global contexts.

Congratulations to all the winners.
